The Daily Deskhenge:

The Daily Deskhenge was in an accident at the end of September so that’s why postings have been erratic since then. Never fear, however! Your Oracle’s mighty helper beings were on the case and nobody got hurt except my buggy and the buggy that I hit (a non-compis mentis dorkburger-with-cheese rear-ended me because he was probably watching the latest episode of “Cupcake Wars” on his iPad and not paying attention to the road enough to see that traffic was slowing). So even though the Deskhenge-mobile was totaled much to Your Oracle’s great chagrin, there is going to be a new Deskhenge-mobile soon. This of course means dealing with car salespeople, which Your Oracle hates more than Roquefort dressing and brussel sprouts, but in the end all will be well. Until then, however, Daily Deskhenges will be rather short because Your Oracle is dealing with so much all at once that there’s a slight danger of catching the crazies, and we just can’t have that (well, we can’t have it *and* remain employed, so you see Our Dilemma).

Today’s deskhenge seems pretty positive. The spread is read thusly: the card on the left (the 10 of Pentacles) represents what’s hidden, and the card on the right (the 10 of Cups) represents what’s seen. There are a couple ways of reading this. One way is that because both of these cards are 10s, the energy represented here is nearing the edge of what’s possible. We’ve gone as far as we can go with both the material AND emotional expression of the energy. It will no longer do to get overwroght (who, me???) by circumstances, and that the time has now come to learn balance and moderation. Another way of reading these cards is that things have taken a turn for the better. This has played out for me in the last week, for which I am profoundly grateful, and maybe the same is true for all of us: the storm has passed, and while things are still in the hands of Fate (see the Fate rune [the hash-mark] at the bottom of the 10 of Cups?), Fate has begun to smile.
