The Daily Deskhenge:
You know, it’s so weird. I’m absolutely *not* feeling this Tarot deck today. I could force it, or at least try to, but I’d rather just let it be what it is. Sometimes we just don’t use the right tools. The one part of the reading that really resonates with me is the rune in the middle of the Magician card (on the right). I tossed all 13 runes, and that one, The Self, is the only one that landed right-side-up. All the others were face-down. It isn’t the rune that resonates, though, it’s *where* it landed: right smack in the middle of the Magician’s chest. Right over his heart. WE ARE THE MAGICIAN. We create the magic. We are the channel of divine wisdom and spiritual truth, so it’s important to treat ourselves that way. Whatever there is in the world doesn’t get created unless *we* bring it in. Now, I’m not sure how this relates vis-a-vis frog species in the Amazon, unless there’s a Magician out there channelling the Frog God. (And if there is, kudos to you, Sir or Madam.) But I AM sure that this relates vis-a-vis the human population’s problems with war, famine, homelessness, inequal distribution of resources and wealth, and just general deplorable attitudes of “better than” and “less than” that we seem to want to live with. So be careful what you think, my friends, and what you feel: you’re creating more than you know.
