The Daily Deskhenge:
In drawing cards for today’s daily deskhenge (which is brought to you by the Osho Zen Tarot), I started off by asking the question, “What’s coming in next for me, in the short term and in the long term?” So, check it out: everybody I’ve ever done a reading for when the question has to do with love wants that first card up there (The Lovers, on the left). And I’ve got to admit I’m loving it over here! New love, new opportunities to share and connect with another person on a more intimate level than I’m used to, new chances to experience another person and what that’s like. More than that: check out the card. There’s blinding white light coming in from above, in the same area of the card in which an angel sits in the more traditional views of The Lovers. There is a new opportunity approaching to appreciate and experience the Divine, the Sacred, in a way that is impossible for a single person alone.
So naturally I’m freaking out a little (A LOT).
And this leads us right into the second card, the Knight of Cups. The Trust card. Look at that dude up there (on the right). He’s just floating on air, free as you please, like he’s just jumped off a bridge but forgot to attach the bungee cords to his ankles. (Speaking of bungee jumping, I’ve often thought that that’s the *only* way I’d EVER do bungee jumping: if I was able to imagine that I was leaping from the bridge or whatever I was standing on out into the hands of God. I’ve actually pictured myself doing it, leaping out into nothing, and it looks in my mind’s eye EXACTLY like this card here, up to and including the bad hair and the fact that the dude is jumping in a DRESS. That’s so me it’s ridiculous.) So what’s coming is an opportunity to emotionally bungee jump from the known out into the hands of the Divinity in the Lovers card that can only be experienced by two together. I’m going to have to trust: trust the Divine, trust what’s coming at me, trust myself, trust the very element of Air itself.
