The Daily Deskhenge:

Today’s deskhenge is full of head-on female girl-power energy. The Archangel Ariel, Lion of God, is taking flight on her next great adventure. Don’t be afraid to act, to speak, to do from your own sense of power. Speak what is true for you. Remain grounded and rooted in your experience, but pay attention in case the bunny has something she wants to say. Bunnies are very wise like that. (The bunny I’m referring to is in the lower right-hand corner of the Queen of Pentacles card, on the right.)

No, seriously. There’s powerful female energy everywhere today, so if you hear your mother’s voice (or the voice of a nurturing female spirit, should your own biological mother have been lacking in that department), pay attention to what she has to say. But remember: this is the NURTURING, earthy, rooted, sacred-grandmother energy, not the naggy bitchy marry-a-doctor-and-eat-your-peas energy, which you absolutely do not want to listen to. The problem here is that because so many of us don’t have a *HEALTHY* nurturing older female voice to listen to, we tend to tune “mother” energy out completely. That’s what I’m urging you not to do. Instead, go within to your own inner nurturing voice, or go outside. Literally. Go outside and stand in the sun, or under a tree. Take your shoes off, feel the grass or dirt or even the hot pavement under your feet. If you’re stuck in traffic, turn off the radio/iPod/cell phone, open the window (if it’s safe to do so), and just listen. Take note of what you hear, and how you judge what you hear. Remember, none of it is good or bad. It’s just what is, and you’re taking a sacred moment to connect to it.
